Yoga Sutra 1.2 says, "Yoga is the ceasing of the fluctuations of the mind". These fluctuations dominate our lives, and learning how to be steady amidst the rise and fall is the work of every practitioner of yoga; it is the work of a lifetime.
Join us for this candlelit class where we will explore the calming of the mental fluctuations with a blend of graceful, flowing movement designed to enliven the body and mind; and long held stretches, designed to calm and bring a sense of ease. Amanda will lead postures to strengthen and lengthen the entire body, with a focus on the hamstrings and hips so students can enjoy a greater sense of balance. Variations will be offered for all levels of experience.
