Restorative yoga is a practice of releasing, receiving and letting go. You will use blankets, bolsters, and blocks to fully support you as you enjoy long holds in postures meant to soothe, calm, and revitalize your nervous system. This gentle practice of conscious resting is truly an act of self-care and can be practiced at any time of day. This is a subtle practice that has powerful effects on the mind and body and is a beautiful way to provide balance to busy schedules. Class will begin with a brief meditation, followed by a few restorative postures and will end with a long, supported savasana. Pranayama and body scans may also be offered.
